A report on The 22nd Anniversary of Dr. Ghassemlou -

بزرگداشت یاد دکتر قاسملو و شهیدان 22تیر در تورنتوی کانادا جولای 21, 2011

روز یکشنبه 26 تیرماه در شهر تورنتوی کانادا ودر محل ساختمان شهرداری این شهر مراسمی به مناسبت بیست و دومین سالگرد ترور دکتر قاسملو ویارانش برگزار شد.

به گزارش خبرگزاری کردستان، این مراسم به کوشش” انجمن فعالان حقوق بشر دانشگاه یورک تورنتو” و “خانەی کرد تورنتوی بزرگ “برگزار گردید.

در مراسم مزبور، سارا اکرمی رئیس انجمن فعالان حقوق بشر دانشگاه یورک تورنتو، زندگی نامەی دکتر قاسملو را قرائت نمود. سپس پیام این انجمن و پس از آن، پیام خانەی کرد تورنتوی بزرگ توسط دکتر فریدون رحمانی و پیام الکس نیو، دبیر کل عفو بین‏ الملل در کانادا قرائت گردید.

در پانل نخست سمینار نیز جان تامسون، رئیس مؤسسەی مکنزی و کارشناس امور تروریسم در این مؤسسه و همچنین خانم کارول پرون هوبر، روزنامه نگار و نویسندەی کتاب ” آرزو ومرگ رحمان کرد” وپس از ایشان نیز شریف بهروز، نمایندەی حزب دمکرات کردستان ایران درآمریکا وکانادا سخنرانی نمودند.

در پانل دوم نیز دکتر فرخ زندی، استاد دانشگاه یورک تورنتو و دکتر عزت مصلی نژاد، کارشناس “مرکز کانادایی قربانیان شکنجه” به ایراد سخن پرداختند.

در این پانل همچنین خانم ثریا فلاح، فعال سیاسی و حقوق بشر از طریق ویدیو، مطلبی تحت عنوان ” ترور دکتر قاسملو، پروندەه‏ای جهت برداشتن گامهای قانونی بین ‏المللی” ارائه نمود.

خاطر نشان می گردد تمامی سخنرانان در این سمینار، مطالب خود را به زبان انگلیسی ارائه نمودند.

این مراسم با استقبال گرم کردها و ایرانیان مقیم کانادا بویژه اعضا و هواداران حزب دمکرات کردستان ایران وسازمانهای سیاسی دیگر و جمعی از کانادایی‏ها روبرو گردید.

July 13 marks the 22nd anniversary of Dr. Ghassemlou and his aides; Human Rights Activists Association at York University and The Greater Toronto Kurdish House are hosting an event to discuss the various dimensions of Iranian regime’s state terrorism as related to Dr. Ghassemlou and other victims’ of Iranian state terrorism.

Right to justice is a fundamental human rights and in the same context also discussing the current human rights situation in Iran as related to those who have been unjustly victims of Iranian regime’s terror and repression machine would also be on the agenda for this event.

-John Thompson, head of Mackenzie Institute for the Study of Terrorism, Revolution and Propaganda
